🔒 VaidikVivah treats your personal data with the same care and respect as the tradition it is built on. Your photos, contact details, and Kundli data are never shared without your consent.

1. Information We Collect

When you register and use VaidikVivah, we collect the following categories of personal data: (a) Identity & contact details — Full name, email address, phone number. (b) Birth & astrological data — Date of birth, birth time, birth city and state. This data is used to generate Kundli charts, Guna Milan scores, Manglik Dosha analysis, and Vimshottari Dasha reports. (c) Community & lineage data — Caste, sub-caste, community, Gotra, Pravara, Kuldevi, and religious denomination. This is used for Gotra matching, same-community filtering, and community-specific features. (d) Family & background details — Mother tongue, family type (joint/nuclear), family status, father's and mother's occupation, number of siblings, and family values/expectations entered in the profile. (e) Personal preferences — Partner preference filters (age range, height, education, community, location), profile visibility settings. (f) Uploaded content — Profile photographs and, for Gold/Platinum members who opt for the verified badge, a Government ID document. (g) Usage and device data — Pages visited, features accessed, browser type, device type, and IP address. This data is used only for platform improvement and security purposes. We do not collect financial credentials. Payment transactions are handled entirely by Razorpay; we receive only a transaction reference and amount.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used to: (a) Create and manage your matrimony profile. (b) Compute Kundli matching, Guna Milan, Gotra compatibility, and Dasha analysis. (c) Show your profile to other registered members based on compatibility. (d) Send you notifications about interests, matches, and platform updates. (e) Verify your identity and maintain platform safety. We do not sell your data to third parties.

3. Photo & Contact Privacy

Your profile photo is blurred by default and is only visible to members who have sent or received an interest with your profile. Your phone number and email address are never displayed publicly. Contact details are only shared after both parties have expressed mutual interest. Platinum members have the additional option of masked calling, where your actual number is never revealed to the other party.

4. Government ID Verification

Government ID is required only for Gold and Platinum plan members who opt for the verified badge. Your ID is stored securely and is used only for identity verification purposes. It is never shared with other users or third parties. After verification, your ID is retained only as per applicable law.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share limited data with: (a) Payment processors (Razorpay) for subscription transactions — only transaction data, not profile data. (b) Email/SMS service providers for sending platform notifications. (c) Law enforcement agencies if required by law. All third-party partners are bound by confidentiality agreements.

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard security practices including HTTPS encryption, hashed passwords, and access controls. Profile data is stored on secure servers. However, no system can guarantee 100% security. We encourage you to use a strong password and not share your login credentials with anyone.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to: (a) Access and download your personal data. (b) Correct inaccurate information in your profile. (c) Request deletion of your account and associated data — we will process this within 7 business days. (d) Opt out of marketing communications at any time. We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies from third parties. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect platform functionality.
